Therapeutic Riding Advantages:
The BORA has been purposely design for the use in RDA riding programs and has proven very popular in many German RDA centres.
This very supple saddle is truly treeless as it is without any wooden or metal structural parts used in its construction. With its upright cantle and soft pommel, it gives the rider a very supportive and comfortable position. There are no stiff edges to rub against the rider or the horse.

The 2 different stirrup positions can accommodate different rider needs. The Bora saddle offers similar benefits to the rider of a bareback pad, but with pommel and cantle adding a lot more safety and security, allowing less assistance from the helpers on foot.
The horses movement can be easily felt through the Bora saddle allowing the rider being mobilised by the movement of the horse.
The rider relaxes as he or she is moved by the horse, helping to release spasm and stiffness. This mobilisation experience is limited if a stiff traditional saddle is used.
The Bora saddle can easily be used on ponies and horses in any therapeutic riding program. It can also take the place of other therapeutic riding equipment such as bareback pads, saddle pads, cushions, sheepskins and even most English or Western saddles.

A good and less costly alternatives to the Bora saddle is the Torsion GP and Childrens GP, Close contact, Close contact soft and Soft saddle.

Important Safety Note
This saddle uses a closed ring for stirrup leather attachment. We strongly advise the use of additional safety equipment like the Barnes Buckles, caged stirrup or quick release stirrups to reduce the chances of your foot being caught in the stirrups during a fall.
